Fried Okra

Ingredients:

½ lb. fresh okra
2 cups flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup cornstarch
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. cayenne pepper

 

Directions:

Cut each piece of okra in half lengthwise and soak in cold  water for one hour. Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients together in a bowl. Remove the okra from water and dredge in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Deep-fry at 350 degrees until crispy and golden. Serve with Bulgogi Sauce (see Crunchy Broccoli Recipe) or your favorite dipping sauce.
